Aspiring Orthopedist

What makes a 24 year old Seychellois woman decide she wants to do Orthopedics as a career?
Easy. I love bones. I love the sound bones make when they break, and I enjoy the sound it makes when it's put back together again. And we got 206 of them, so imagine the workfield! A couple of months ago I assisted a Hippocratic method of reducing a dislocated shoulder. The adrenaline rush---Oh my God. Best thing ever.
Sure the constant screaming associated with the wracking pain of broken limb can be a bit much sometimes, but honestly, its all worth it when 6 to 8 weeks later, patient comes back using the limb like nothing ever happened. Furthermore, my hometown really needs specialist in this department, so that's another motive altogether. So this is my journey towards that goal, starting now, 100 days away from my final exams as a medical student, to being a qualified certified Orthopedic Surgeon. God be with me.
